The cultural mood has shifted. For the last few years, issues like wokeism, DEI, the #MeToo movement, and transgender activism have shaped the world. Now, we see a rebalancing towards more traditional norms. Events such as Elon Musk buying Twitter and Trump’s presidential victory have highlighted and contributed to this shift. Alongside the cultural changes, new spiritual realities are emerging.

I think what we’re seeing right now is a “brovival”—the sovereign, salvific work of God upon the hearts of males. Consider these examples. College and professional football leagues are full of players boldly & repeatedly sharing their faith; Pete Hegseth recently said on Capitol Hill, “All glory, regardless of the outcome, belongs to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His grace and mercy abounds each day”; Wesley Huff, a Christian apologist, appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast to defend the Bible; Bible sales are booming; and three famous men—Denzel Washington, Russell Brand, and Jordan Peterson—have made professions of faith in Christ.

In Habakkuk 1:1 the prophet asks, “O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear?” To which God responds, “Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told” (Hab 1:5). Church family, God’s truth will prevail. Have no doubt! Our God is amazing, and He does all that He pleases. Let’s pray for this brovival to continue, grow, and sweep us all off our feet for God’s glory.

Technology and the Bible

Any given Sunday, those attending church come to worship God and hear His Word taught. Most bring their own Bible. Some of us carry a printed Bible to church; others follow along on a tablet or phone.
