You Have a Story to Share

The God who created the universe also sustains the universe. By extension, the God who created you also sustains you. Moment by moment, day after day, season after season, whether you know it or not, God guides and directs your every step. This is true for both Christians and non-Christians. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you believe—your life is not some random compilation of events. On the contrary, your life is a story written by God Himself.
The chapters of your life may certainly not appear orchestrated by God—especially the painful ones. We are inclined to reject the purpose of pain. We must resist this attitude. Chaos does not come from God but from the devil. The doctrine of divine providence teaches us that God is active in directing our every step. The more you believe in the Holy Spirit’s direction of your life, the more you will see His Hand directing it. This means that you have a story to share.
“Sharing a testimony” is the phrase we give to this idea. Some people think they don’t have a testimony. This occurs because those people don’t look hard enough for God’s involvement in their lives. Nevertheless, the story is there, but it must be unearthed. Once we find this story—through intentional thought, prayer, and reflection—we must share it. By sharing, we inspire others to understand and share their story as well. To not share is to be cowardly & selfish. Why do that? Christ’s love is for sharing.
You have a story to share. Do you know it? I sure hope so—for your sake! Investigate the story, know it, record it, reflect upon it, and talk about it. God writes our story as we know and share our story. All for the praise of His Grand Story in Christ.
