The early Christians clearly emphasized the importance of fellowship. Acts 2:42 notes, "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." In the early church, "day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people" (Acts 2:46-47). 

The New Testament word for "fellowship," koinonia, expresses the idea of being together for mutual benefit. Hebrews 10:24-25 shares this idea, saying, "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."

Adult Sunday School

Between services, at 10:00 am.  There are many available classes to attend.  Sign ups are offered each quarter, some for new classes and some to plug into ongoing classes.  But you don't have to sign up to come!  Just join us.  Check out the latest bulletin for a list of the classes and classrooms.  


Bible Study Fellowship

Verse by verse, we approach the Bible as God's Truth, to be studied, savored and lived out. BSF is an in-depth, interdenominational Bible study that helps people know God and equips them to effectively serve the Church throughout the world. Men's Mexico Mission

CBC and Cross Centered Missions team up to spread the gospel in Juarez, Mexico each February.  Along with projects such as roofing, painting, and construction, this group of men hands out bibles and ministers to youth and adults. Check out the announcements for the latest news.  Sign up and planning begins in October each year.  Contact John Strohman with questions 280-2780.


Missions Committee

The Missions Committee helps CBC and its congregation focus on how the church shares the gospel, sends missionaries and cares for sent ones.  The Committee brings us news of the missionaries supported by the church; and helps us to pray for them and provide for them in times of need.


Moms In Prayer

Moms in Prayer impacts children and schools worldwide for Christ by gathering mothers to pray.  Our vision is that every school in the world would be covered with prayer.  This group meets during the school year.  For the latest information, check out the announcements.  Contact Sara Ogan with questions 222-4120.



The purpose of MOPS is to encourage, equip and develop every mother of a preschooler to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. MOPS meets from September thru April, the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, and offers childcare during the meetings. Women's Ministry

The mission of the Women's Ministry is to equip women to grow in love of Christ and community.  They welcome all women of any age.  Service opportunities include leading other women in bible studies and group events.  More information can be found in the Women's Ministry Framework document here.

Nursing Home Ministry

The goal of nursing home ministry is to glorify God by taking His Word and His love to these facilities.There are lost and hurting sheep in the nursing homes. These people are our mothers and fathers, our grandmas and grandpas, our neighbors and our friends. Small Groups

Small Groups are the way we make a big church feel small. These groups are meeting in-person across the area. We encourage you to join a small group so that you can experience life with others while building new friendships and strengthening each other in your walk with Christ.  Contact the church office for more information.


Women's Bible Study

Every Thursday morning at 9 am in room 400 at CBC.  This runs all year round!  Join us anytime, and check out the bulletin to see what book we are on.



The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it.  Genesis 2:15.  No matter if it is a Garden, a jobsite or an office cubicle God put you where you are at, to work it and keep it. Worship Choir

Perhaps you have great music memories of singing in choir in High School, or belonged to a chamber choir or Glee Club in college. If so, consider joining our adult choir! oir is starting up soon! We begin rehearsals two months before Easter at 2 pm each Sunday as we prepare for our Easter cantata. This choir is open to
anyone ages 13 through 199! Join us for this short 2-month commitment as we share the truths of the gospel through song. 


Young Adult Bible Study

Please join us for the Community Inc 12:5 young adult bible study!  This non-denominational bible group has attendees that range from single, engaged, college students, etc: and  approximately 18-35 years old.  We meet Thursday evenings, 7 pm - 8:30 pm at 811 N Madison, hosted by Scott and Gaye Granville.  We pray, do a bible lesson and then have fellowship.  Join us!  Call Scott Granville for questions 280-3330.
