Adults

The early Christians clearly emphasized the importance of fellowship. Acts 2:42 notes, "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." In the early church, "day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people" (Acts 2:46-47).

The New Testament word for "fellowship," koinonia, expresses the idea of being together for mutual benefit. Hebrews 10:24-25 shares this idea, saying, "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."

Adult Sunday School

Between services, at 10:00 am.  There are many available classes to attend.  Sign ups are offered each quarter, some for new classes and some to plug into ongoing classes.  But you don't have to sign up to come!  Just join us.  A list of classes can be found on our app!  If you don't have it yet, click here.

Bible Study Fellowship

Verse by verse, we approach the Bible as God's Truth, to be studied, savored and lived out. BSF is an in-depth, interdenominational Bible study that helps people know God and equips them to effectively serve the Church throughout the world. Come join us, and bring a friend!  Every Tuesday evening during the school year at 6:30 PM at CBC.  Check the announcements for sign up info.  Call Amanda Roarke with questions.

Men's Bible Studies

Community Bible Church connects men of all ages
through and around God's Word. All men's groups are open for others so come join us!  Check the bulletin for current information.

Missions Committee

The Missions Committee helps CBC and its congregation focus on how the church shares the gospel, sends missionaries and cares for sent ones.  The Committee brings us news of the missionaries supported by the church; and helps us to pray for them and provide for them in times of need.

MOMents

The purpose of MOMents is to encourage, equip and develop every mother of a preschooler to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. MOMents meets from September thru April, the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, and offers childcare during the meetings. Check the announcements for current information.  Sign up is in the fall, contact Rachel Hettinger for more information.

Women's Ministry

The mission of the Women's Ministry is to equip women to grow in love of Christ and community.  They welcome all women of any age.  Service opportunities include leading other women in bible studies and group events.  More information can be found in the Women's Ministry Framework document here.

Small Groups

Small Groups are the way we make a big church feel small. These groups are meeting in-person across the area. We encourage you to join a small group so that you can experience life with others while building new friendships and strengthening each other in your walk with Christ.  Contact the church office for more information.

Women's Bible Study

Every Thursday morning at 9 am in room 400 at CBC.  This runs all year round!  Join us anytime, and check out the bulletin to see what book we are on.

Young Adult Bible Study

Please join us for the Community Inc 12:5 young adult bible study!  This non-denominational bible group has attendees that range from single, engaged, college students, etc: and  approximately 18-35 years old.  We meet Thursday evenings, 7 pm - 8:30 pm at 811 N Madison, hosted by Scott and Gaye Granville.  We pray, do a bible lesson and then have fellowship.  Join us!  Call Scott or Gaye Granville for questions.

Special Events

Christian fellowship is essential to spiritual growth. Many aspects of our spiritual lives depend on being together with other believers to encourage, teach, serve, and share life together.  Check the events page for information on the CBC fellowship events (family pot-lucks, picnics, Women's Christmas Dinner, etc.)
