Vacation Bible School is coming!!   June 2nd - 6th, 2025

Howdy there, partner! You ready for a grand ol’ time this summer, discovering the wonder of Jesus? If so, grab yer stirrups and lasso and hightail it out west to Wonder Junction where kids will marvel at Jesus and learn that we live for his glory.

As you may’ve guessed, Wonder Junction is an Old West themed VBS adventure that will teach kids about who Jesus is as they marvel at his birth, his childhood, his ministry, his death and resurrection, and his coming return. It’s all about Jesus and the call for kids to live for his glory.

Check-In and Out Procedure

Please know that your child’s safety is important to us! Every adult that serves in VBS (ages eighteen and under) has undergone a background screening. In addition, we have a new check in and check out procedure to make it easier for parents/guardians:

  • Upon arrival, parents or guardians please bring your child(ren) to the designated check-in area inside the church.

  • Using the iPad touch screen, enter the parent phone number (home or cell).

  • The screen will display all adults and children associated with that number. The parent will then select the child attending VBS.

  • The program will automatically print two identical stickers for each child (ages preschool–third grade).  The parent will put one sticker on the child’s back and keep the other to be presented upon picking up the child.

  • When picking up the child, the parent/guardian will give the sticker with the child’s name and security code to the class leader. The leader will compare the label to ensure the child is being released to the correct person. If you have a different person picking up, a photo of the check-in label will be accepted.

IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP YOUR CHILD, YOU CAN TAKE A PICTURE OF THE STICKER AND SEND IT TO THE PERSON WHO WILL BE PICKING UP YOUR CHILD.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  How much does it cost for my child to attend?

A:  We do not charge children to attend.  This is a ministry provided by the church.

Q:  What do kids do each day?

A:  Children will rotate through teaching time, game time, snack time and craft time, and then after finishing the day’s rotations, everyone heads back to the Assembly for the closing that includes more singing, a Creature Feature, contest results, and the hugely anticipated daily drama.

Q:  What should kids wear?

A:  Casual attire is best (shorts, t-shirts) with close-toed shoes (no flip flops, please; tennis shoes preferred). Your child will have game time outside every day, and they will need to be comfortably dressed. Also, sometimes crafts can get a little messy, so wear something that you don’t mind getting dirty. Put sunscreen on your child before dropping them off.

Q:  Is there a snack served?

A:  Yes, a snack will be served each day.

Q: Are the helpers screened?

A:  All helpers have current approved background checks.

Q:  What time should I arrive?

A:  Come early on Monday. Since it’s the first day it takes a little longer to get checked in. Our opening session starts at 9am so make sure you arrive in time for them to get checked in for our opening. Your kids won’t want to miss it!
